BMAT

Section One
Thinking skills

This section tests generic problem solving and critical thinking skills. There are 32 multiple choice questions which you have 60 minutes to complete. 

Section Two
Scientific knowledge & application

This section tests the ability to apply scientific knowledge learnt by the age of 16. There are 27 multiple-choice questions covering Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths. There is a 30 minute time limit. 

Section Three
Writing task

This section tests the applicant's ability to select, develop and organise ideas, and to communicate them in writing, concisely and effectively. Applicants have to choose one writing task from a choice of three questions. They have 30 minutes to complete this.
